The Red Devils needed a win in their quest for UEFA Champions League qualification following Wolves win on Sunday and carried out their task with aplomb.
The midfield combo of Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes look to be producing results for Manchester United. The later combined to great effect when the Portuguese received a pass from the Frenchman at the edge of the box and hit the box with a right foot shot.
The Red Devils took the lead after then from a Mason Greenwood left foot to make it 1-0. United made it 2-0 from Bruno Fernandes with Pogba making the assist.
The game was set and buried with a blistering counter-attack. Harry Maguire cleared with a header from the United box and the ball fell to Matic who produced a sublime half volley pass to Greenwood and the youngest delicately found Fernandes and the former Lisbon star vollyed home his second for the night to wrap up the win and take the Red Devils into fifth on the Premier League log.
